Funding & payment
Paying for your accommodation
Sanicha accommodates NSFAS-funded, UFS-allowance and self-funded students. The information below is drawn from the 2027 lease agreement.
NSFAS
NSFAS-funded students are welcome. Proof of NSFAS acceptance is required to sign the lease. Sanicha waits for NSFAS payment until the end of March 2027 (April in exceptional cases).
UFS Private Accommodation Allowance
Apply through the UFS Oracle system within two weeks of the allowance opening so payment is not delayed.
Self-funded (EFT)
Monthly rent by EFT, due on the 1st and payable on or before the 5th of each month. A refundable breakage fee is payable before moving in (R2 000 for single rooms and bachelor flats, R500 for a sharing room).
